ooh ps poring butane over the plant is crazy when you can use solvents or alcohol

Don't mean to sound like a cynic here, but butane is a solvent. Water is a solvent too. When you brew coffee, you've using water (solvent) to dissolve the alkaloids (solute) from the beans. Solvent suffers from the same bad image the word chemical does; Commonly it's associated with dangerous lab procedures and materials rather than it's everday applications.

It is crazy to think that people are using off the shelf, consumer grade butane to rinse their weed of cannabinoids. I've always wondered how much of the butane actually gets evaporated, is it the "pure THC" that they claim? I doubt it.

There's not much more dangerous and damaging to substance decriminalization than a herd of "kitchen chemists".
