I found this news story interesting and inspiring:

They say truth in stranger than fiction, and this story coming out Ethiopia is so incredible, that it’s rather hard to believe.

For a 12-year-old little girl living in Ethiopia, three lions came to her rescue just in time to save her from being abducted, and prevented her from being raped by a group of seven men who had taken her from her home. In a country where girls live in constant fear of being sexually assaulted, and forced marriages occur 70 percent of the time, what this 12-year-old child was about to endure was unfortunately, nothing out of the norm.

Three huge lions heard the little girl crying, and became distressed when they witnessed the little girl being beaten and assaulted by her abductors. So they charged at the group of men, chasing them away.

The trio of lions then watched over the little girl for a full day, before she was finally found by authorities in area.

One police investigator said, "They stood guard until we found her, and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest."

According to wildlife expert Stuart Williams, the young girl might have survived because she was crying, as the noise caught the attention of the huge beasts who then mistook her cries of distress for one of their own cubs.

“A young girl whimpering could be mistaken for the mewing sound from a lion cub, which in turn could explain why they didn’t eat her,” Williams stated.

What an incredible story! According to the most recent reports, four of the seven men involved in this barbaric crime have since been arrested.   (FEED THEM TO THE LIONS!!!!!)

"One thing to remember is to talk to the animals. If you do, they will talk back to you.
But if you don't talk to the animals, they won't talk back to you,
then you won't understand,
and what you don't understand you will fear,
and what you fear you will destroy,
and if you destroy the animals, you will destroy yourself."
