DE@ delays ban on K@trom that was scheduled for September 30. See below

Resistance from federal lawmakers and kratom advocates has delayed the Drug Enforcement Administration's plan to ban two active ingredients in the herbal alternative drug, which would prevent its use in the United States.

The DEA could have banned kratom on Sept. 30, but letters and petitions have temporarily suspended any action on the part of regulators. More than 140,000 opponents signed a White House petition to block the ban, which would have made kratom a Schedule I substance -- the most restrictive drug classification category the DEA uses.

i saw that on another forum today. The concern is that the dEA had not yet agreed to same.

It's nice to know that the petitions we sign sometimes do have an actual effect. This is only a delay and many believe that once the de@ goes down a path, they are unlikely to reverse course. It's is perfectly ok for them to go after vendors that are l@cing K with $ynthetics. There are already laws on the books for that. Also the highly concentrated... liquid sh0ts could be looked at as well. People do get @ddicted to those. In it's natural state there is little downside to K. It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds.
This is a good start. To make this stuff Schedule 1 along with heroin and the like was ridiculous! Power to the people!
I have not heard Power to the People since what, about the sixties? I like it.

Hope u r well today, batgirl.
This is great news. At the very least they need to let it be studied, and anything short of that I hope people will see through. I am hoping they are not just throwing us a bone while finding a way to keep full control monetary or otherwise. I understand things need to be regulated to keep quality up and people safe. I also feel though that my safety has never been their number one concern, or we would not be talking about this. I don't trust much the various agency's have told me based on my personal experiences, and think it will be up to the people to see the right thing done.
Wow. I'm impressed. Is it possible the D3A is beginning to develop a rational mindset?! Doubt it, but it's nice to dream!
