Agreed - that would be an amazing medication! In terms of performance at work, I find bromazepam the best for damping anxiety but leaving me reasonably clear-headed.

However I'm generally on diazepam, so a bit less sharp than normal. If I need to be super efficient I will take a low dose of modafinil - but since it can make me anxious, I always make sure I have a spare diazepam with me. This is not something I do often, maybe every month or two.

After lots of reading about the long-term effects of benzos on cognition, I've started taking turmeric every day which should minimise some of the long-term problems (e.g. with memory).

Is anyone else using turmeric with benzos?

Does tumeric really make a noticeable difference? I noticed I’m way less sharp than before I started taking benzos regularly. Would love to hear more info on this.

What I find weird is I’m a q4 user of Alp. It actually gives me energy and I’m able to go out and do things. It’s backwards, I know. Guess my gaba receptors must be as well.

Not sure why you are asking about Tumeric with Benzos. I've been a supplement freak for decades and take about 25-30 various times of the day. I researched and keep up on the latest research though. This includes being a member of a lab that tests supplements for not being contaminated and containing what they promise and many brands you know do not. This relates to Tumeric or better yet the active form, Curcumin, which is very difficult to absorb so certain more expensive types should be used. The most common reason for using is Arthritic pain, boosting the immune system, lower triglycerides which are more of a killer than cholesterol, depression, and inflammation. It shows promise as an adjunct to chemo for cancer patients and studies are underway. As for Benzos, are you thinking about liver protection from benzos? Curcumin is said to be beneficial for the liver but the king of the hill is Milk Thistle but then again only certain types. It protects the liver against toxic things and can reduce liver inflammation. I can go on and on but probably overstayed my visit already. I can probably help you with any supplement and I read the medical journals and studies and not the BS studies paid for by vendors of products or companies selling the stuff.
Hi Stan I’ve been taking qunol brand Tumeric Curcumin for a few weeks but started forgetting to take it regularly like I’m supposed to say I’ll forget for a few days.  Is qunol good brand?  It’s just an orange powder you mix and drink?  How many mg a day do you recommend?  Also have you heard of tudca for the liver?  If so how would you rate it?  One more question how can I become a member there as I’m very interested in supplements but I’ve even talked to pharmacist about brands.  I was told they are not regulated well.  But the best advice they could only give was gmp or usp on bottle I think.  I take d3 fish oil. Tumeric.  Ala.nac.  Sometimes Tudca.  What is your take on glutathione.  Maybe misspelled.  Oh also an IM vitamin b12 at 5000mcg split.  But cannot sleek of routes of admin against the rules here.  But I’d really like to see how this lab rates supplement brands.  You know it’s not cheap and don’t want to waste money on crap.
I used to be a supplement freak, mega doses of each vitamin and mineral. Then moved on as got tired of 10 pills and capsules every morning. I moved on to a balanced diet and find my levels for most vit are sufficient apart from vit d : (
Yes omega 3 I love heart and brain healthy! , i eat fish every other day with a salad (oily fish is packed with it) also milled flaxseed is a good source and chia seed.

I absolutely love milk thistle, and do a detox once a week for two days with it but check any medications you are taking as it has interactions with quite a few and could increase the levels of it in your blood it did to mine and i suffered scary side effects when i took my normal prescription after taking milk thistle but it has a half life of 6hrs~ so it settled fast but i nearly ended up calling the ambulance due to the interaction so please double check and don't take together
Thanks Stan I just read your response.  I have the pure Alaska omega 100 percent wild Alaskan salmon oil omega 3 1000mg usp verified trident seafoods.  Try Tudca. I will check lef. I’d give yo my email  I don’t think it’s against rules but you can’t pm.  I don’t want it in the open board.
I find that tr@m@dol  often gives me energy in that it reduces paralyzing depression & anxiety.
I too find brom@zep@m pleasant.
I find that @tiv@n can be dangerous - it (more than other benzos) can cause nodding out at higher doses for me.
Oddly I find kpin relatively mild, but all meds, especially benzos and pk's change my my character so I must be mindful.
Oh, v has been the sun the others orbit around for the past 45 years in my benzo universe.  I wish benzos had no tolerance, amnesia or handcuff issues though.
I believe lorazepam is a better option between the two, only reason being is I find the effect to be more profound...although everyone is different
I prefer benzo over lor or alap. The only thing bad about benzo is the amount of time it stays in the system. Just my preference.
I'd definitely say lorazepam. As Bereel stated above. With my non-medical opinion 2.5mg lorazepam has a better overall effect on you mentally and physically. You can still take part in your normal activities/daily routine, without feeling drained and or exhausted. Or the need to simply redose in such a short time...
