Hi Fireplaces, happy 2016! Time is crazy! When I was young I never thought I'd get "old", thought I was invincible as I'm sure we all did. Now, after hitting 60, multiple surgeries for cancer and the last one a spinal surgery, my younger version of me I'm sure would consider me old! Haha! Just can't stop that darned clock! As they say, "you're only as old as you feel", well... I feel old and tired! But it's all good, all part of the process. Delete all that! I feel fantastic and young! The negativity is all in my mind and today is going to be a great day, for all of us! Thanks for letting me ramble on a bit while drinking some delicious black coffee!
Here's to peace, love and sanity in this crazy world!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL!!

Here's to a great and wonderful 2016...

And Hollywood... I can relate to that ... I too thought I'd never get "old"...

Remembering back working at this machine shop.... I met this guard and he asked me how old I was... I told him 22 and he said he was 40... I said, "Damn... That's old!"

He told me that it wasn't and wrote on a piece of paper... "40 is not old"... I kept that in my wallet (still have it) and when I flew past 40 I looked at it.... Well I'll be dipped!! G0 wasn't old at all...

It never is when you get there...

That's a great story Ice! My dad is 84! I should have him write one of those notes for me! He has 3 sisters all in their 80's, the oldest might be 90 now so if genetics are a big determining factor I might be lookin at a couple more decades! Hopefully not full of this daily pain! Pain or not, life is good!
Have a fantastic 2016 and beyond!
Peace!

84? Wow.... I really don't think I'll make it along THAT long... Even though my G-Mother (on 20 dec) had her.. Wait for it....100th ... I don't know too many my age that can still pick-up the phone and call his G-Mother! God has indeed blessed a person to make it that far! For her age and all, she doesn't seem to have all that much going "wrong" ... She did have to get another " battery" in her pacemaker.. Guess she lived longer than the battery life...lol

Someone asked me why she lives so long and I told them... "Well... I would guess it's because I still owe her money!"

Good for Gramma! I guess we either have the long, medium or short life expectancy gene. And I don't blame hrr, I stay alive too if someone owed me money! Hahaha! Good one.
Peace! Gotta hit the sack for a minute or two.
