Well item was delivered today. That was super fast, 8 states away in a day or 2. Yippy!!

On another note, has anyone ever received the following status when tracking a package through usps?:

"Processing Exception"??

It appears to have cleared customs, and has bounced around to 3 different post offices in my area, with 3 updated delivery dates. Every day, it had said it was out for delivery until today when I got this strange status.

Apologies if I should start a new thread for this tooic. Just let me know and I will do so, thanks!

Yes, I've encountered that one - It just means the item couldn't be machine sorted for some reason (package is damaged, incomplete address label, etc.).  A postal worker is trying to sort out the delivery address, and they are usually successful, each time I've encountered that status the item has always eventually arrived.

USPS.com has a listing of every processing status code and what it means on their site, you don't even have to register for an account to access it.

Yes I have via u ps. It was bc of wrong scan/ item was sent to wrong facility (couple hundred miles away). It took an extra day on an overnight parcel.

Quite welcome!  Despite my alarming number of warning points and my "black sheep" avatar I found to match them, I really do try to reach out a helping hand to my fellow IOPers when I see a question I know (or can find) an answer to provide, and will continue to do so until the inevitable ban hammer descends upon me.  Glad to have been of some assistance.

Yay! I'm glad as I must admit I had concern from your first post. 

As far as that scan not being in the appendix, I do know The USPS system was down for a great deal of last weekend. Perhaps they were updating and this is just a new code. The USPS should publish their new appendix soon. Sometimes, they lag a bit on making it publicly available.
