Why not add a robots.txt?

That would certainly slow down if not completely stop new threads being listed on Google.

Is there a reason we don't have one?

I was actually inspired by this post http://ioplist.org/showthread.php?tid=2584.

A simple robots.txt can prevent google from indexing all of the threads, while keeping the main url up so people can find us and we can grow as a community.

We want to be listed but want to stay safe that is why we prefer our threads to be optimized by Google because our Vendors here gain traffic and our forum gains momentum as new visitors arrive. As for the stuff that needs to be kept private we have kept it private. The topic has already been discussed.
