What follows is advice from Joe at Maggie’s
Farm.
If you are interviewing for a dispensary
job, do not:
• expect to use marijuana on the job. This is a
compliance issue and grounds for termination.
• lack knowledge about the product. There is a
lot to know about strains and effects and
regulations.
• lack passion for the industry. This is not your typical retail job, as there are far more legal
constraints to wade through.
• expect youth to give you a hiring edge. A lot
of employees have been growing or using
MMJ for years, and their knowledge is
valuable.
• think that a few indiscretions in your
background are OK. The background checks
are deep and thorough.
