My G-Father always told me, "Son, there's nothing wrong with helping your neighbor clean up his yard...
But, you have to clean up your own yard first!"

Old conventional wisdom and sayings are valid today as they were 100 years ago. Should add them to the modern education curriculum as mandatory study!  Miss the old timers.
