Luke Perry, 52, is hospitalized after suffering a stroke, entertainment news website TMZ is reporting.

The actor's rep confirmed the stroke happened to "People" magazine. No other information about his health is currently available.

The stroke, which is being described as "massive," happened Wednesday — the same day it was announced a "90210'" reboot is coming to television sooner than expected. Perry had not signed on to be part of the project, though most of his former co-stars have.

Actor Tori Spelling said Perry will likely appear on the show when he is available.

Perry is currently on The CW show "Riverdale," playing Fred Andrews, who is Archie's father.

Luke Perry suffered a massive stroke Wednesday, and is currently under observation at a hospital in the area, according to Variety. Paramedics were dispatched to the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale actor's home in Sherman Oaks, Calif., after a call came into the fire department for someone suffering a stroke. Paramedics responded around 9:40 a.m. Perry’s condition remains unclear.

Perry, 52, was one of the early breakout stars from Beverly Hills, 90210, playing Dylan McKay from 1990 to 2000. Fox announced it closed a deal with CBS TV Studios for a reboot of Beverly Hills 90210 yesterday. The series will be called 90210, and run six-episodes order over the summer. Original cast members Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling reportedly signed to return to the reboot. Perry has not.

Perry plays Fred Andrews, Archie’s dad, on the CW’s Riverdale. The series, which launched 2016, is currently in its third season, and was renewed for season 4. The CW recently ordered Katy Keene, a spinoff pilot which will be produced by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who created and executive produces Riverdale, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. TV.

Perry is a series regular on HBO’s John from Cincinnati and Windfall, which runs on NBC. After Beverly Hills, 90210 ended, Perry fought possible typecasting by seeking out varied roles. He was featured in the original film version of Joss Whedon's Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1992) and put in appearances on Body of Proof, Ties That Bind and playing a preacher in the HBO prison drama Oz from 2001 and 2002. Perry was also recently cast as as Scott Lancer in director Quentin Tarantino's Charles Manson family film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
