Holy cow, it seems that the day has come. This is 150 for me.

I tried not to ramble and throw in my 2 cents at everything just for posts. I really wanted to only post when I thought I could provide some sort of help, support, or meaningful lessons and stories. And I still will.

This has been a wonderful site that has great pioneer members, moderators and administrator. I've enjoyed interacting with everyone thus far and hope to continue building meaningful relationships with all members. I'm also happy at the level of security here and the rules that help to weed out shills, liars, LE, and any other rift raft that cause quality information about vendors to become lost or compromised because of someone's ego/unstable feelings of anger, jealousy, etc.

Hope everyone has a nice relaxing Sunday before the week!

If you have trouble seeing into a secondary IOPLIST area, then I am told one should clear out their browser cache.

Log out and back in. Some have said the system can take up to an hour to recognize your new status.

Well done. Excellent and helpful posts. Quite knowledgeable to boot.

Awesome member. Thank you for being here.

Glad to see you are your stripes as they say. Congrats are well deserved I have enjoyed my interactions with you via the forums and pm's. You have always been helpful kind and discreet. In the midst of my usual Monday rush to get ready, consume copious amounts of coffee, shower, shave and hit the road for work. Just wanted to take a moment to wish you the best of luck my friend~Bandit

I find it quite ironic that the last post in this thread was by me, congratulating an iop Buddy of mine for making it to #150. Now here I am this very evening making my 150th post.... funny how things work out sometimes. They say a little irony is good for the blood or so I hear. One one hand it almost 6 months to get here seems like an eternity, on the other hand it seems like I just made my first post in the welcome thread. I genuinely appreciate all the help and guidance received along the way. I have been a member of many similar forums for many many years going back a looong time. However I can honestly say this current incarnation is the best moderated and most transparent forum I've ever seen. It is a privilege to be amongst some of the kindest and thoughtful members around. A special thanks to Charon whom I will always think of as River Styxx or simply River in the back of my mind. She has been a trusted and valued member Of countless forums and always given sound advice and shared priceless wisdom over the years. I find myself rambling a bit let me simply say thanks and best of luck to all~Bandit

Hey Bandit, congratulations!

I think something's wrong as I've been here longer than you and just made it here... Big Grin

I will echo what you've said about this site and many of the members.  Especially Charon, G. Elias, IceWizard and many others.

Sound advice, absolutely.  We need to make sure we keep to our ways and preserve and help the language developing inside this site continue to evolve as to protect what we treasure most, our health and the health of others. - That's not directed at you, just throwing out ideas for the rest to read and hopefully some will grasp this ain't no g00g3 group and no one without any credentials is going to be given a golden key to the city...

So here it is, the day has come.

Leading up to this milestone I thought I would have a feeling of standing at a gate, and being handed the keys to the kingdom in a sense.

However now that im here, I have more of a feeling of responsibility. Not unwelcome mind you, I enjoy responsibility and embrace it.

I understand why options are limited to newcomers. Not only for the safety of our vendors, but for the safety and wellbeing of our members, These 150 posts are a good oppurtunity to learn something, and find some degree of self control with the items we gain access to.

Anyway, Charon, Admin of Steel, Ice Wizard, Mad max, QueenB and Grim Reaper. A huge thanks to all of you, the community you have built here is truly unique. Its a place where I feel a sense of belonging and mutual understanding. In the area I live in, In real life, everybody just wants to know "how to get h1gh" or "how much they can sell it for". But here its beyond refreshing to find alot of people are honestly in it for their health, and want to learn about the science or nature of what is going on in their bodies or minds. I try to talk in person with people regarding my interests in chemistry and neuro-psychology and im ignored, barely listened to.

Yet here I feel embraced. Honestly I love that feeling. So thankyou to everybody who has made it possible for me to experience that!. Im happy.

A small comment on the nature of where we find ourselves, with influence from the mythological backgrounds of my screen name:

Daedalus fashioned the wings which he and Icarus flew with, But he also built the labyrinth of Crete, in which the Minotaur was kept. Think of these 3 things as aspects of self. The wings, a means of flying high and escaping the reality we know. The labyrinth, where we can lose ourselves, either to follow "ariadnes thread" and rediscover who we are, Or be chased in circles by the Minotaur, Or our personal demons. What we do with these things is a choice, how we choose to use the gifts of Daedalus is up to us.

With that note on mythology and modern commentary, I pass my obol to you Charon, and request passage on the ferry down the river styx and to the underworld. The journey has been enlightening and I will continue to contribute wherever I feel I can help or make an impact Big Grin
Code:
"Never regret thy fall,
O Icarus of the fearless flight
For the greatest tragedy of them all
Is never to feel the burning light."
