That's strange, I am with Blockchain, I use my bank to acquire bitcoins which takes less than an hour and funds can be used instantly after that.

My phone is 8 Mega Pixel but still had issues resolving the text on the ID while holding the camera 5 inches away. Cell phone cameras lenses are so small they starve the camera sensor of light so noise drowns out the detail when attempting certain shots. You can try taking a close up shot in miday sun to reduce the noise. This also drops the exposure time required so hand movement/vibration will be less of an issues.
My coinbase pic was pretty rough but with close inspection the details could barely be made out. Think it took an hour or so to be verified after it was sent.
Good Luck

I went through the whole process of setting up an account on Coinbase because it was supposed to be cheaper by using your bank account. You have to enter all your account/routing stuff and wait for them to make two small deposits and then u have to verify it. Then u can buy bitcoins at the current rate and they are deposited into your Coinbase account where you can them use to purchase. Just know it’s not a quick process. After you purchase it takes 17 days to clear before you can use them. I have about 7 days left. Just purchase enough to buy what you need. It’s ok if you buy more than you need cause if you want you can sell your bitcoins buy depositing them as cash back into your bank account. Just remember the hold time before you can use them so u have to plan ahead. It’s about a 20 day process when u first open it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you should be able to use your debit card and the transaction should take minutes. Since you are fully confirmed with bank info.

I didn't try my debit card since I assumed debit card and bank accounts were the same. Not sure if you don't have additional fees if you can/do use your debit card. There are a number of banks that will decline debit cards for purchases for similar purchases even though confirmed through Coinbase. You can add your credit card as well, I believe and purchase right away, but there are additional charges for that. If you use the Bitcoin app, you have to use their credit card processing company and there are a number of added fees... transaction fee etc...

I have had a CB account for awhile, and my back changed the practice n usig my credit debit card, but you can also have it set u t with draw from your bank or credit union. My first on e since this but money in my account to use to trade but did not actually take money out of my account till that 17 day waiting period. But I just added some recently and it was available after 2 or 3 days now, you can also have a regular storage wallet, that will not fluctuate unless you actually invest in one of the coins. Have used it a little, and you just have to remeber if sending you cant send ethereum to bitcoin you must have matching currencies. Getting an account set up is actually the toughest part. But I'm no guru at this but it isn't that bad

what an excellent thread I am so excited to read about this. Because Even though it’s been explained to me so many times, I always get confused. I’m just bummed out I didn’t buy some seven years ago, when I was doing a simple transaction. But I fear what I don’t understand. One of my weaknesses. like I said I will read through this, but I have a question if you only need say $70 worth, if one bitcoin is $500 how can you do that? Whatever like I said it’s probably in there so if it is just ignore the question.
by the way, talking about just a regular purchase like buying some clothes from Europe, this has nothing to do with anything else. Sorry I just want to make that clear. Sometimes you see an item of clothing say a particular brand of the cashmere hoodie that you really like that it’s very rare, well it might be counterfeit so your best protection is bitcoin. OK that’s what I’m thinking it might be good for. sorry for my wording is but just wanna keep everything above boards. As you can see I am already in the penalty box for a double minor. Yes that last line is a joke, dumb one but a joke. The part about protection against counterfeit brands is not. No that’s not code. You would be surprised, as when a sweater zip from the left instead of the right, that raises eyebrows but I digress. We probably all need to understand that going better. It’s the new reality.
