Everyone 8n the community should carry these, it's not hard, I'm a vet and the VA pharmist just gave me like a 10 min class and gave me a couple a d just let ppl you know you have it, it's saved me more than once when I was bad off. I even think some places the pharmacy are just giving them out and clinics

Yes-naloxone is a true wonder drug.

I do not carry it around because I do not currently have to and worry about using it on a random stranger because I am not totally certain about "good samaritan laws" in a non-clinical setting.

Having said that: if I thought I needed it I would- I do know pain patients that have it around and have certainly seen it and could easily get one if I wanted to (a kit).

Have also thought about it for meds that I do not recognize-in theory if I saw products that I did not know but had no choice I WOULD keep a kit around.  Would prefer if they decriminalized everything and broke the back of organized crime and actually practiced real medicine again but that will not happen-so yeah...when in doubt narcan could save your life.  In fact these days if you are forced into the "grey" market perhaps it should be required-did not used to have this worry but times have changed.

As stated above, if you are involved in the grey market you should have narcan. Even if you don’t think you mess around with opiates you may find yourself in a situation where narcan is the difference between life and death. Nowadays pressed medications often contain fent and other analogs that could be life threatening to any of us.

Traygold thank you! thank you! for sharing this, naloxone is a must have. Brand name narcan, $20 is nothing when it comes to saving ones life. If one is known to use and any of these signs appear do not waist a minute and administer narcan immediately.
