Hi everyone,

I am sorry I haven't been around much.  I am still quite sick with pneumonia, and I am not spending much time online lately.  I am still thinking and praying for all of you, and I hope everyone else is doing fine.

i hope they have u on zithromax. its the only antibiotic that works with pneumonia in my life. but, i am a doctor of law. not medicine.

if u cannot breathe my friend, and, u use three pillows when u lie down, u have a nebulizer, than u may need the ER/

i pray u won't.

i am sorry u r feeling so badly. let us know.

Thanks everyone. I have a lovely adjustable bed, and since I got sick, I have been sleeping sitting up. Sometimes that's just not enough to breathe though, so I either sit on the edge of the bed or stand hunched over the bathroom sink. Other times, I just don't sleep because of the coughing and frankly, fear that I will have trouble catching my breath.

Sorry, forgot to add, I am not on Zithromax but am on Levaquin (sp?), generic is Levofloxin I think. I had also been on Cephalexin because I had a staph infection.

Hi Shayna,
There is no worse or terrifying feeling than trouble breathing. It's scary as hell.
Have you tried using a vaporizer in your bedroom at night? When I had that problem, it seemed to help me breathe a little better. Also would carry it around the house with me and set it close by wherever I landed. It might be worth a try.

I'm keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery. When one of us is down with whatever, we as a family need to circle the wagons.

Feel better very soon my friend. We're all there with you in spirit.
