Daily Thoughts, Random Thoughts, Venting Area
So mainly I'm watching the religious shows today.  Jack Van Impe is really hitting scripture to support his idea that Armageddon is here, citing very recent news about China, Russia, N. Korea, and Iran.  But that's another subject, I doubt we'll lose many vendors in the rapture--I dunno, could be wrong.

But I stopped on a kind of medical/health show, "Betty Snowden" show.  Lots of good info on diabetes today.  The funny part was a lady she was interviewing who described her history of diabetes since a child, and how she used to ignore it as a kid.  As for adults, she said, there were still many adults who paid their diabetes no mind , "most of them have tattoos" she said.  Ha.  Didn't know why she felt like she needed to throw that in.  Get your stupid licks in when you can I guess.   Cracked me up.

i cannot watch them. i shall always disagree with another minister. and i am not allowed to touch God's annointed.

so, i never comment. i do believe jack van impe has preached that same message for a long time. they are, i believe, seventh day adventists, and they are just too calm for my liking. but, as to his message? i concentrated on the promises in the here and now.

Hope u r ok, today, spanky.

Jaw has upped ante the last day or two, infection pain up to ear, temple, and eye.  RXA is very close.  Right  now just ibupro and Portland brewed pale ale.  Also started a regimen of amoxicillin to slow infection.  Watched a special on the opioid epidemic last night.  I'm glad they are saving us.

Amoxicillin is what DD is on for her sinus infection post broken nose.  So the ENT scripted a cat scan so we can make sure she does not have a nasal hematoma.  Probably do that today.

I really should have taken her to the ER after her initial injury.  Live and learn.

Spanky, sorry for your infection and pain, truly.

Cricket, was your nose broken in your motorcycle accident?

Hi Fire,

Yes, I really messed up my head in that accident. Fractured skull, concussion, broken jaw and smashed in the right side of my face. Broke all the bones. That's why I believe the accident caused my sinus problems. But that's just the top portion of the damage I did. Many other injuries, but this is just about sinus trouble for now.

I'm still keeping fingers crossed that DD has no bad or lasting sinus damage. It's no fun and I think she's had ENOUGH problems happening and doesn't need more.

Best of luck to her with her test.

Wow, thanks for the thought Fire.  I'm sending thoughts for your DD.  All these bones and body things seem to be connected, and it's hard to predict what will throw what out of kilter.  Good idea the scan, I've had lots of them.  Cat scans and the other common one, and once the one where the sides of the tube you're in goes "boing boing boing" and that one kind of gets on your nerves, but a C scan is nothing and I would venture that it's a good precautionary measure, and that a hematoma is unlikely.  I'm doing a round of amox also to give my infection a rest.
Cricket, man I can''t even exactly relate.  So sorry you have that array of impact damage.  I hope your body mends things as fast as possible, with doc help.  I've a cousin in CA.  She is way old, older than me, and she has two hip replacements.  She was T boned at an intersection a few years ago--she was old then--and she healed.  Good thoughts to the Bug.  Having a series of storms here in Coos Bay Cricket.  Rocks my boat a little, but nothing like my Slidell time, that's become my gauge of what the RV can handle.

best to alll,

Spanky

I appreciate that Spanks, but my chance for healing has long gone by. The accident happened in 1972 and it was a long recovery, which the dr's. didn't think I'd survive, but like they say, "Only the good die young" LOL.
I did eventually get better, but the older I get, the more all of my injuries come back to haunt me BIG time.
Some of it can be handled with surgery, but co-pays still cost money I can't afford, so it's just trying to handle the pain the best I can with what drs. will allow (which is never enough). The reason I have to do this online thing just to feel somewhat decent. Life can be a bitch, but you go on the best you can.
This is why I hope Fire's DD doesn't have permanent damage that may come on stronger later in life. Especially these days when getting meds to tame the pain are getting harder to get. It could turn into a nightmare. I'm praying for great results for her so she never has to suffer the disaster I feel is coming with pain control.

Just a warning to you young'uns out there. Be kind to your bodies now, or suffer greatly in the future. The future for all of us that are suffering in a ton of pain does NOT look good at all. Scary stuff.
