K@trom ban delayed
#21
Yes, it's best to hold off on obtaining any kr@tom for now. The de@, in the end, could still $chedule it level 1 or leave it completely alone. It's anybody's guess. It's good that the FD@ is looking at it's medicinal values. Of course that's what should have been done in the first place as the fd@ is the science based arm of the guberment and the de@ the law enforcement arm.

For me, it's not a must have situation as well. I'm not going to deal with the consequences of p0ssesion, if it ends up being a $chedule 1. It's not worth it.

Regardless of your view on kratom, you can't argue with the fact that it's a natural herb which greatly alleviates wd symptoms for people trying to quit @pi@te use.
I personally enjoy it once in a while, it does give you quite an energy boost and an overall warm feeling. It's effects are definitely not strong enough to even consider it a recreational drug let alone a schedule 1 drug in my opinion.

The fact that it's natural is exactly why they want to schedule it. Heaven forbid people using an herbal remedy when big pharma isn't going to make a cut. Maybe I'm just a tin-foil hat wearing individual, but lets be honest...Do doctors get kick backs for Rxing certain things? Does big pharma care about the 0pi0d crisis? Only thing they care about is making money...Just look at the epipen scandal. I'd go completely all natural if I didn't have to worry about getting a knock on my door, or having to deal with the repercussions of a random UA at work. Heck, I keep on thinking about moving to one of those progressive states out west...

The part that saddens me most is that the people who really need good relief are being scrutinized because of new rules and other junk. Sometimes I feel that the G0V would rather everyone just go out and do H...It's sad...

Sorry for the rant.

Until recently the only other place where Kratom was made illegal was in Thailand where the plant just so happens to originates. Since then it has become public knowledge that the plant was made illegal because the Thailand people where using it to get off the opium that was that the Thai government was the sole proprietor off. (Rumors speculate that much of the opium was provided by England)

Not much has changed since then. Big pharma got word that people were using kratom, an unpatentable naturally growing plant, to get off of their big money making prescription opiates. Oh, and what do you know, the current head of the DEA used to work for one of the big pharma companies, and to make matters worse they tried to push the, so called, "emergency scheduling"(whatever the hell that means) through when congress was on break. You don't have to wear a tin-foil hat to see that a major conspiracy is at play here. And, this is only half the story, it gets much worse and if you google it you'll see tons of corroborating evidence.

Just thought I should chime in because Kratom helped me immensely. I wouldn't be who I am today without it and I really like who I am today.

Definitely not worth the consequences, especially given the current climate of our G0V.

Will we know when they take a second look at passing the law? Or can they just reschedule it anytime the fd@ is done with their research? There's no way I would look at ordering anything if it could just be rescheduled while being shipped. What a legal nightmare that could be.

I'm very curious about kr@tom. I see signs for it at shops around town. Is there any comparisons to other PK's or is it its own thing? I used to use PK's very heavily but have been off them for 3+ years and just been maintaining my pain with green. My pain in my back is getting worse. Tr@m used to be great for me. Does kr@tom give similar effects to opi@tes or tr@m?

In light of the fact the DEA said it was scheduling kratom a sch1, please don't have twelve hundred posts for me to edit/delete if and when they do so.

i don't trust last minute reprieves unless it has to do with clinton and obama.

Keep in mind, we were just informed it will be a sch 1. I have closed down many a thread on this.

It does seem more appropriate to PM. Get in ur first fifty.

Understood. I'm sure I can find my answers elsewhere. I'm working on my first fifty. Lol. Thought this was a good way to get to fifty but it makes sense to not discuss it openly at the moment. I apologize Charon.

I don't even know what this med is or what it's used for, but damn, are they gonna make Tums a new schedule 1 drug? It's getting ridiculous that they are making everything forbidden. Where is this gonna stop?
They are even goin' after vitamins to make them prescription only if Codex Alimentarius gets passed. They will still allow vitamins to be sold, only in strengths that are completely useless.

What I find funny (NOT) is that ANYTHING that helps us feel better is becoming taboo. Except for alcohol, but that may be coming too. I guess they us all to be hurtin' and willing to do whatever just to feel decent. What a great way of controlling the masses, which is and always has been their goal.

Like I said, I know nothing about Kratom, but I'm beyond tired of them treating us with less compassion than animals.

Sorry I had to rant on this, but it's got to STOP.

it is dirt. one eats varying types of dirt really. i know its improved since i tried it.

problem is, it was OTC basically. many used these medicine to help get thru withdrawals. to deal with pain. some used some to be awake.

But, NY has learned that by allowing MMJ oil to a lupus patient cuz its shown to put them in remission, then NY can charge 8000$ every three months for the treatment to keep one alive.

One cannot get medicaid or medicare to pay for same.

so, as per usual, the rich will live. the poor will not. 8000$ every three months? The gvt knows damned well that to get medicaid and medicare they go over anything u may have owned in ur lifetime. You gotta be fairly broke. Way below poverty level in my state.

So, the first hope that has developed in the lupus community, and OOPS! it will cost too much for the vast majority of us.

Provide our med and we wont' be useless eaters anymore. Just sayin.

That price is unreal. Sure, they'll make it legal to use, but how many can afford to in these times? Not many, I'm sure.

HA! Tell me about the mess with Medicaid. It's because my mom had money (that she was leaving to me so that I could stay in our home for the rest of my life), that everything from the 5 yrs. in the nursing home and her MANY other medical expenses, I had to use that money for her care. That took every penny and now I'm living below the poverty line and it's very scary and stressful. No one can live on disability alone.

I don't know what's gonna happen to all of us in a similar situation, but it's not good. Especially if Hillary wins cause it will only get worse. With Trump, I don't know, but something has to change. I'm tired of the same group of people always making the rules. I wonder who or IF anyone can get in there and chase out all of the rats and get this country back on it's feet.

God help us.

BTW Charon, I hope you're feelin' much better today. Take care of yourself and rest.
