Valium vs Phenobarbital

Most importand is that v@lium is 100 times safer than barbitur@tes. Amyt@l and secon@l can easily knock you out, worst case is mix it with alcohol. Never sure if you survive . And for benzos there is anaxate , flumazenile as an antidote but for phenos od there is no antidote available. fortunately pheno is relative week compere to most other phenos.

please, unless u have seizures, stick with valium.  an old med.  tried and true.

the pheno we can get online is oft a derivative of same.

I have heard horror stories of people taking but one, and crashing, face first, down the stairs.

I don't know how to say this properly, but i read and have been advised of many whom took one pheno a day.  one.

it builds up in one's system. then, suddenly, without warning, one goes down the steps.

I have spoken to quite a few whom encountered similar experiences.

Please do not substitute pheno for valium.  Please.  I do have seizures and a major and two minor strokes. And, still, i wont take it daily as my dog with epilepsy did.  Only when i get a tiny twinge in back of my leg which means a seizure is coming on.

Narcon can save ur life from a PK.  Nick is a wise man.  I know of too many whom wound up seriously injured because they did not take pheno seriously.

In the right dose and self control pheno worked wonders for my anxiety along with my prescribed benzo. Of course I would not recommend as i am an extreme case. But in the right dose (small,one-two at most) they work great. Best taken in evening without anything else in your system though!

Valium all the way. Ive taken doses of pheno with zero effect. Im not sure what the deal was.

Ive taken seconal before and that worked wonders... But in my humble opinion pheno sucks

I have also had harrowing experiences with pheno.

Over time with experience we all feel that we have a good understanding of how to dose/cross tolerance/interactions etc etc.

But when it comes down to it being in the midst of a mind altering substance always has an effect on our judgement. When we are used to popping vals and bricks like candy we subconsciously do the same with something that "the internet" advertises for a similar reason.

And though prescribed for similar reasons or for similar results, barbiturates are on a whole other level. In a league of their own. They should be respected, huge caution should be taken.

As others have said it is best to just AVOID them completely and NOT use them at all. It is the safest route. I wish i had the common sense to follow the example of others when i was younger and excited to find a barbiturate

I experienced the exact same thing. Pheno did nothing for me.

Pheno is in the peaceful pill hand book.
Very high toxicity as it a barb and not a benzo .
It's mostly used now in assisted suicide .
IE cancer patients , stroke patients , are given this for chane stokes .
When the heart keeps beating after a doctors patient brain has stopped .then the doc will administer a dose of this to stop the heart .
It's a very touchy subject amongst doctors as it brings up a whole ethic issue.
And it's a doctors secret .not anymore .BOOM .

 I believe secobarbital also known as Seconal is used to put the terminally ill to sleep. Pheno is used more for withdrawals, seizures and stuff like that. secobarbital is the best sleeping pill in existence when the sleep dose is used. Nothing gave me more relaxing sleep and had no withdrawals. Then because it was being using in super high doses for medical euthanasia, only one drug company in the USA makes it now and they made it impossibly expensive. It’s thousands of dollars for a single script at the pharmacy. At the normal dose it’s perfectly safe and was developed as a sleep aid.

v@lium is all that I am seeking, but finding it harder to order. I recently sent an email to one of the suggested vendors (that has some exotic items) and asked if they have anything comparable as I did not recognize the names. I googled for a while but could not find it.

In the past I have found v@lium to be mild yet effective and fairly easy to stop.
