btc as mean of pay do you use it ?
#31
i rather not think of its price, btc forums are basically fanatics when they talk of it as its next god coming.I like to think its only a mere medium to transfer cash like paypal or western union, nothing more.

I am very new to the entire BTC marketplace but found it surprisingly easy to just google and find enough data on how to properly set up a wallet and purchase the BTC. It probably took me all of ten minutes or less to find the websites and create usernames and passwords for the it and the same for the wallet app. I think it was easy but if someone isn't computer savvy then it may be a little difficult.

Well done thread. Just remember, as we don't give up payment method of a vendor, let's make sure no vendor names get put up in this thread.

But, good job. Thank u.

Ive recently used it as means of pay and its truly remarkable being able to pay to anyone anywhere.Anyhow if someones thinking of plunging be aware price is rocketing on it currently, and while its a good sign bank for buck, but wouldnt be close to holding or getting it now since never know when pump will end and some other issues btc are facing atm will kick in.its good for few days hold and knowing where youll spend it,but not best time to enter and hold it since price is closing back to all time high, smth to always be aware of.

Back when they were $10 each I tried to setup a miner. I tried and tried and it would never work. Thought I was being clever by mining instead of buying. Clevered myself out of thousands of dollars. Buying wasn't as easy back then, I don't remember even looking into it. Ten bucks Sad

Ouch. I'm the idiot who sold 1BTC for $20. At the time it seemed like free money. Doh!

I can do worse than that.

I let several mined full blocks (50btc each) go for around .50 a unit.

Tragic.

As a payment system it does prove useful.

Buy with cash from localbitcoins if you'd prefer not to give identifying information to a third party.

I am looking into grabing a few of them myself, the only thing that really concerns me is the fluctuation rate .. could be one day you have 10 bucks and next week, only 7 remain (not sure of how big the swings are) ....

None the less, it does seem safer that other ways of making payments with no questions asked...

I've used BTC since the very early days, honestly I wish all vendors would accept it as payment.  For anyone who visits this though, it should be made clear that bitcoin is definitely not anonymous, there is a reason the Captain of the infamous silk road was so easy to take down once he was found.  Once you tie a number to someone it is clear to the entire world everything that person has been doing.  So do as others here have suggested and take precautions such as tumbling and others for which there are a multitude of guides online.

well nothing is safe is someone wants to get you there are dozen easier ways, with little to none effort.btc is simple in that matter once understanding how to setup wallet and finding right spot to buy, that you do business as it was paypal.thus meaning you dont need to fill any forms or have paper trail, its simple agreed amount that can be basically be sent to anyone in the world, which isnt bound by time restrictions, goverment and results in quick turnover.

the silkroad example is major deal because person who ran it was getting into deep end of it ,if he stuck to just running site i doubt it went that far, since when people make millions and lose their head, eventually they will get got one way or another, nowadays btc dark web activities are quite mute and people are more aware since looking simple sites youll see its usually small deals 20-50$ that are being run.

I personally dont see it as cash just medium which is handy in some situations, many in the game thou are for the money thinking it will rise to thousands, but ive no interest in it.grand if i knew that 8 years ago it be living free life just for couple cents investment when it all started.

Etherium is going to be going up big soon. Again. There is a lot of companies working with it. Bitcoin is the boss at the minute though. Best place to trade btc for altcoins, for me anyway, is Poloniex. Wish I had of took my own advice in the past I would of had a multi-coloured bus by now.
