I hope this question is allowed and maybe Charon was around she seems to have more experience then anyone. i have had much success with the people I won't mention I was planning to make an order tomorrow but they emailed me back with instructions not to include a last name to the sender. Now this just doesn't sound right I don't think either WU or MG would allow this online or in person they would be like you missed a spot. If this question is not allowed I'm really sorry just delete it and all I can say is sorry I did not know. has anyone else had experience like this and was it legitimate? I just cannot see either business accepting this transaction, or is it just me?

I would be leary of anyone suddenly changing the name of receiver info.
Maybe someone else has experienced this. But, it does not sound right. Let us know, Please. Good luck.

I don't think WU will process your payment w/o the sender's and the receiver's full name whether the transaction is by cash or credit (online cc, definitely not). I don't know anything about MG.
High volume receivers will typically have more than one person available to pickup payment. WU sets a limit on receipts by an individual (monthly basis?) since the service is supposed to be used for person to person transactions only, and not for business purchases.
Your vendor may be temporarily maxed-out as a receiver and they apparently have suggested a rather foolish work-around which I suggest you avoid.

Anyone else ever hear of this happening? I wonder with this vendor as well if i'm speaking to the same person every time and I will type a paragraph and I usually only get a sentence or two back like English is not their first language. Most of the time I don't get my question answered anyway like they can't understand what I want to know or just don't care. People seem to think their customer service is out of this world but I don't see anything that great about it. I do not want to go on to much to give anything away I really want to adhere to the rules.
I will call wU and MG today and find out if it is possible to do a money transfer while only using one name but I just cannot see any reputable business allowing hundreds of dollars to be sent overseas with only a first name. Perhaps if it were a last name it all feels fishy to me as well that it is a different name all of the sudden. What do they do some honest few orders and then plan to rip you off later it's so hard to tell. It's not only that it is the hundreds of dollars I have already sent their way I'm concerned but I don't want to be an email pest either. I do believe I am still waiting for either 2 to 4 envelopes from them. I can't lie they have been good to me so far but I've got a lot of money tied up in this already and was going to put in another order today. Perhaps I should wait til I get another envelope or should I find another vendor? is that what other people would do? I don't want to write a novel but it is helping to ease my mind. The more I write though the more it is possible to give away and i don't want to do that. This all sounds a little strange to me as well. A lot if not most of the vendors are not the best with English so depending on the vendor it's not unusual to get a very simple response back from that vendor if they speak broken English. I also tend to agree with Raven and don't think its possible to send funds without both first and last name. I don't know if I would invest anything else until you see if this situation resolves itself. That's the worst thing about this Biz iz there is nothing written in stone and sometimes what is the best thing one day is gone the next..

they are almost getting demanding that i try using WU with the first name only they say he only has one name on his ID so wU to them its not a problem? yes it is a big one I can't process an order on my end nor would I sent hundreds of dollars. I just asked what happened to the usual guy maybe i will wait til he is back or they are using someone with a valid last name. Oh well if they can't get that they won't get any money and it looks like I need to look for a new vendor oh joy. Good luck to everyone on here as well i asked for my tracking numbers 3x and she won't give them to me that's what i get when i pay well over $20 US for express post. I would say her emails if its a she are less than polite as well.

Ok, some people swear by online. But more often than not, people say online ask more questions.
But, at a walk in place, it seems to me u needed a first name, a last and a maternal or paternal grandparent or some nonesense to get either process thru.
I imagine one could send money to Cher with only that one name.
I was hoping someone might recognize the vendor and tell us is this normal. cuz i dont use WU or MG. not now.
Not in a long time.
But, if u go in all upset, and the payment method demands more info, I have heard of people being permanently banned from using WU or MG all together.
Lets hope someone knows of whom u speak. And will PM u advice.
Cuz what the vendor is doing is increasing the stress on you during a particularly stressful time. It is hard to find a vendor one trusts. Even more difficult to go in to a payment station. Without stress.
I thought that there is a kiosk machine of sorts at walmart or walgreen for paying thru one of these methods. Maybe u could try that.
But, there is still risk involved of having ur acct closed permanently. So many of these people will hack another forum member. Not just here. And, if you express any interest in using a vendor they will email u with fake info.
There is one female vendor whom one needs fifty posts to see. But, she is also elsewhere. But no one has ever PM'd me with this particular dilemna before.
It does not sound right to me. Hold your ground. Many of us had to jump ship from our vendors, even on a temp basis as life has been so hard.
If no one can figure out this vendor, and tell u this is the new way to do things, don't fall for it. When I was a mod at last forum, I was told that vendors would make orders with competition and then get receiver name. I hope this has nothing to do with any warring vendors.
Does anyone think this is normal? The wave of the future? Cuz, seriously, I have been doing forums forever. I don't order much or use more than one vendor. Don't use these payment methods. But, I have never gotten an email or PM with the problem u r presenting with herein. Be careful. I don't want ur acct banned over this.
I would hope that the vendor in question might get in touch with me and let me know if this is correct.

they will not even email me back now since i will not send money using one name so looks like I'm going to have to find a new vendor which isn't going to be easy
