Form to let USPS Sign for your package

I have heard from a few different people and sources that USPS has a form/waiver of some sort that would give them the right to sign for these parcels for you so that they can be left in your mailbox, anyone know if this is a thing?  USPS customer service was about as useful as calling Comcast customer support and barely understood what I was asking so I figured I would see if anyone here had an answer.

Much love,

You are correct. It is very inconvenient. Do you have a neighbor that you trust could sign for it? You could leave a note in your mailbox and ask them to go to said neighbor sign for you. You can pick it up Saturday if you can wait that long. That makes me impatient sometimes though. You may call your local post office and ask them what your options are. I dont like having to sign for them myself but I do like the ability to track it. Good luck
