So true, folken...big pharma meet big tobacco. Charon's words ring so true here: We must be responsible for managing our own health in these times (maybe not her exact words, but close, I think). I'm not sure if that ruling will change the situation any more than other rulings changed tobacco use, but I hope so. Celebrities have also tragically succumbed: Prince, Tom Petty, and so many others. We have got to do our own research and not rely on exaggerated and selective marketing/commercials or doctors, who may receive kickbacks.
Unrelated to oxy, my husband takes several meds for diabetes; his internal medicine doctor prescribed them, so he took them. He had been having some physical upset for several months and started researching his meds and learned this particular side effect was common with the one drug. Of course, the doctors had never mentioned it. He decided to discontinue that one and one other, and AMAZINGLY, the condition disappeared, and his blood sugar levels came down. READ, READ, READ.
