That's right, Charon. And unfortunately, the majority of people seem to have to learn things the hard way...by finding someone that carries what they need and depend on, only to see them (the vendor) disappear temporarily or permanently.
I understand the feeling of elation and wanting to share 'your' new source with many others to assist them. But what initially may seem like giving out help almost inevitably will come back, full circle, to the 'sharer's' dismay when the medicine that they depended on, NEEDED, is no longer there. Now who ya gonna blame?
If more people would read, think hard, and listen/mimic what the other veteran members say or don't say, then many fantastic vendors would probably still be operating today.
Thanks for the reminder, Charon. You are much more compassionate than I. Because if I was an amin for a board such as this, there is no doubt that I would be 'cleaning house' about every week. Not because I'm an asshole, but because I would not tolerate any leaking of information to those who have not yet EARNED the PRIVILEGE of using some of our amazing vendors. You (any young member) may think you are 'just giving out some info to ONE person', but that is naive and careless at best, malicious motivations at the worst.
To those new members reading this: Charon will give you more chances than you deserve if you happen to break the rules, even multiple times. Don't test her patience. When you disrespect her, you are disrespecting every member that adheres to these rules and act accordingly.
This was not directed at any singular poster, but rather a more broad public service message: keep it quiet!
