Simple insane. What about Alcohol ? how many dead cause it ? their sellers don't do aggressively marketing ?

You bring up a good point.

Alcohol is glamorized with wonderful people, having fantastic times, in glamorous locations   << all without consequences >>

                             As was tobacco at one time << now taken over with vaping & soon legal MJ >>

The diff is that Oxy was scripted and promoted by big pharma and the medical profession. << can't go down to MiniMart and buy Oxy legally >>

Each of these examples put too much discretion onto the consumer, all the while hiding or ignoring the numerous consequences of overuse.

                                                            I am not for banning any of these.

What I am for is better education and new rules and restrictions for companies, on how they advertise their products on social media and

traditional information outlets << TV newpapers etc >>. No more fine print, at the bottom of the screen about the side effects, or how you need to drink responsibly etc. 

                                                                               PUT IT UP FRONT AND CENTER

This is where Oxy went off the rails.

It was promoted heavily, while the consequences were hidden/or under emphasized, until the problem became a systemic nation wide epidemic.

At one time there was a place for Oxy in the pain doctors tool box, but sadly that place has now been taken away.

Oxy is now the pariah of pain med and that my friends is really too bad.
