I try to stick with diazepam as much as possible. Occasionally switching between 10-20mg per night. At the beginning they helped massively as in being more social and "normal" around people, and I can still feel when they are in my system, but its nowhere near the sense of freedom and peace as in the beginning. The physical sense of anxiety itself is still much lower, but other stress levels and depression are mostly right back to where they were before I started. I'll eventually taper off but I'm not ready because of too many deep down personal stressors that I'm not ready to deal with in the withdrawal/tapering state. I guess its really gonna vary person to person and what sort of situation in life is actually causing the "anxiety". Good to see my thread still going strong though and to hear everyones experiences so far.
Thanks for posting up your experience, really appreciate it. Its interesting you've felt the effects wearing off. Understand that feeling of freedom and peace your after, that's what I feel I need. Socialising at times is a big source of anxiety for me, so just being able to relax a bit would be a blessing.
Hope you've had a good day today!

Hi Mountain,
Not sure if any benzos come in modified release form in your country? But regardless, diaz is the go-to among approved medications for long half life (which is why so many people use it for tapering down). It is a complicated medication because it has active metabolites, so it isn't just the half life of the diazepam (although that is the main factor).
I suppose some of those research chemicals had long half lives. I was going to say phenazepam, based on those stories of people getting the powder, taking too much, and waking up three weeks later to discover all the crazy shit they'd done. But it's half life isn't that long (less than a day) and counting the metabolites 2-3 days.
Diaz is available in 2mg tablets, so I guess you could ask to be scripted those in order to take the lowest amount possible.
Good luck!
Thank you!
