Yes-naloxone is a true wonder drug.
I do not carry it around because I do not currently have to and worry about using it on a random stranger because I am not totally certain about "good samaritan laws" in a non-clinical setting.
Having said that: if I thought I needed it I would- I do know pain patients that have it around and have certainly seen it and could easily get one if I wanted to (a kit).
Have also thought about it for meds that I do not recognize-in theory if I saw products that I did not know but had no choice I WOULD keep a kit around. Would prefer if they decriminalized everything and broke the back of organized crime and actually practiced real medicine again but that will not happen-so yeah...when in doubt narcan could save your life. In fact these days if you are forced into the "grey" market perhaps it should be required-did not used to have this worry but times have changed.
