Big tobacco is pushing this narrative And it’s comical considering how many people vape (millions) and how few lung issues have occurred when compared to smoking. Smoking wasn’t effecting a few hundred people years down the line, it was killing tens of thousands probably more. Vaping may not be the golden ticket but it’s universally accepted as a better alternative than smoking. I still think nicotine gum is the way to go but I digress.
They are going after JUUL the most because they have one of the strongest holds on the vaping market. I worked in a smoke shop a few years back and kids weren’t coming in to buy JUUL’s. They were getting nicotine juices that had candy on the box etc...those are the companies going after kids. I believe JUUL just removed multiple flavors that people felt were marketed to kids. Point is do you’re own research and get the specifics (scientific studies) before buying into the media coverage.
Very insightful, again yes I agree, kids did not walk inside to by JUUL's but instead the strange candy flavors. I personally really only use the old tobacco flavors, for the reason of quitting smoking, typically in social situations. I was tired of hacking up that black stuff, but again I really cut down on vaping I will have to say. The JUUL is always by my desk just in-case I am a tad bit stressed but I have noticed in the last month I have not even touched it. Very surprised.
Of yea big tobbacco will be pushing this for a very very very long time, just another way to jump back on the band wagon.
