Good to hear that you have not had any further issues. I once received a package (many years back) that was torn and obviously inspected. They really odd thing about this was that the contents of the package were replaced with a roll of lipstick. I could not make any since of it but decided to throw it away and not speak of it to the vendor.
It might have been some tactic, or just people working in customs playing around. I went on an international flight from US to places within Europe (London, Prague, Budapest). I love to travel and wish I could do it again. But I had a fairly large camcorder and had to check it on the flight back to the US.
When my items returned and I was showing some of the video to friends the video cut to 2 or 3 officials inspecting the camcorder. It was kind of funny that they did not notice that they turned it on.
