Been in ISC prison over a month now and in my city. Going on 70 days with this one.

Trying to stay positive and hope my phone lights up one day with "Your item is out for delivery"

Peace and prayers to all

Hi there, noticed your mentioned 70 days so fingers crossed your phone will be lighting up soon. Not sure if this will be helpful, but there are some new processes with the ISC prisons, I found this information about the delays happening from the ISCS - if you know which one maybe it can help?

International Sortation Center Delays

Delays continue at all International Sortation Centers (ISCs) throughout the United States. This is due in large part to absenteeism, and a reduction in staffing to maintain social distancing guidelines. These delays significantly impact all ePacket Equivalent and IPA parcels.
Estimated delays for the following 3 ISCs:
  • JFK (New York) - 1 week behind in processing parcels for export

  • ORD (Chicago)  - 5 weeks behind in processing parcels for export

  • LAX (Los Angeles) - 4 weeks behind in processing parcels for export
USPS is working diligently to clear the backlogs through the use of chartered airplanes, increased capacity of trucks to deliver via road networks, and diverting parcels to sea transport.

Destination Country Scanning Issues

We have been alerted that some destination countries practicing contactless delivery have suspended written proof of delivery, which means that accurate delivery scan data may not be provided.
This applies to parcels bound for AustraliaHong KongSingapore, and Russia.

Additional Uplift & Road Transport

USPS has secured additional uplift with flights to serve the following countries over the next two weeks:
  • Australia

  • Brazil

  • Belgium, Denmark, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, and Switzerland (to be served by Brussels Hub)

  • New Zealand
These charters will carry mail from all US ISCs.
To help clear the backlog of parcels destined for Canada, USPS has secured additional road transport to move the parcels by truck across the border.
  • From Chicago and New York: Tractor-trailers are loaded nightly at each of the ISCs and truck parcels across the border to Toronto, where they are handed off to Canada Post for delivery.

  • From Los Angeles: Parcels are transported by air on Mondays or Tuesdays (dependent on flight availability) and transported by tractor-trailer/truck nightly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
    Shy

Wow! It looks like they are behind 4 and 5 weeks for exports but I wonder how far they are behind for imports? Not sure what e packet equivalent and IPA parcels are but judging by some of the locations mentioned throughout the post it looks like it could have an impact on my current traveling mags for sure.
