We had it pretty well under control in my area up until a month or 2 back and now it`s out of control. We have lockdowns all over the place.
They say once we get to 70-80% of everyone with a 2nd dose then we will be out of lockdown hopefully.
Just some advice to everyone, Try and have some dexamethasone tablets saved up or prednisone as a back up medication.
Dexamethasone is suppose to really help clear your lungs which is one of the main medications they are using in the hospitals.
Prednisone i think is just a weaker form of the same drug class. I have used prednisone before just when my lungs were blocked and it really works well.
Well the drugs your talking about are corticosteroids that relieve inflammation. Dex is pretty strong I have seen a quick turnaround with asthmatics with a 10 mg iv dose before. You need to know that if you have symptoms go to the Dr , Er or urgent care. Steroids work pretty good but you eventually need to taper the dose and allow your adrenals to start production of your natural corticosteroids. Or you can have a rebound crisis due to unable to breath because it was abruptly stopped.
