Thanks for posting that Charon,I might check back on the names that died there in Salford and see if I can find the graves at the church where they were laid to rest.
I think the show might have been at Pamona,it was once called Strawberry island or fields,there was a huge entertainment palce there in Victorian times.
That was demolished,the area was turned into the Manchester ship canal,the old Pamona docks are still there,its all going to be built on soon,expensive apartments.
Pamona as it is now still basically untouched and a great place to escape from the noise of the big city,a real shame its going.
Progress destroying something better than what is to come.
I first heard of it from that Shaun Ryder singer in the Happy Mondays in an interview he did,he's an amusing chap Shaun.
I met him once 20 something years ago, circumstances were a bit dodgy but he was/is a nice bloke.
Salford is a crazy place,poor working class,gang violence is common.
