Just another of my true stories...

When I was in Jr High, my Dad posed
a math question to me and asked me to solve it.
I couldn't , he finally told me what it was ...

I never forgot it...

Years later, my first cousin married this girl,
that went on to become a Jr High Math Teacher...

So I posed that same question to her ...


"Three guys go to a hotel to get a room.
The clerk said,
The room is $30 a night.

Each guy paid $10 and went to the room.

After awhile, he found that he had overcharged the guys
and gave the bellhop $5 to return to the guys.

The bellhop figured since 3 wouldn't go into 5 evenly,
he put $2 in his pocket and gave each guy back $1.

Now they had paid $27 for the room, the bellhop kept $2
that is only $29 ... Where did that other $ go?!"


She never did figure that out....

I had to tell her....

And she's a teacher?!?!?!?
