Greetings happyvibe, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.
It made me think of when i lost my childhood cocker spaniel. When i was a lot younger still living at home, i worked away a lot without much access to communication. My contract meant i couldn't come home very easily until the job was done.
I returned after 7 months expecting him to greet me through the door. He had a great run out, 12 years i think. Heartbreaking to hear yours was so young. I'm sure you gave him a happy time on this earth, even if it was brief.
