Good morning folks. I've had a streaming cold, so been a bit slow this week in getting to the site....
Linville, yes, rain is absolutely typical UK winter weather, we get a huge amount more of it than we ever do snow. Â Many years, we get no snow at all. That means that when we do get snow, everything just stops! Â The kids get a "snow day" and don't have to go to school and everyone is totally thrilled - but we can't handle it at all. Our cars get stuck all over the place and things grind to a halt. It would look so comical to anyone who lives in a country where it snows regularly. We are also getting a lot of high winds/storms which leads to flooding in the lowland places, which has been a huge story in recent years. Â Bear in mind, I live in the southern UK and it does tend to be a bit colder up in Scotland, they get a bit more snow than we do down here.
