Congrats to Roses.......I can still remember the first time I held Zsa Zsa (my second grandchild)........her smell and vulnerability overwhelmed me.......the love I felt was so fresh.
I think men have it in their DNA to protect the female species.....it's so natural.
Happy Day to all
How absolutely fabulous to have a grandchild called Zsa Zsa! Â I am now wondering if you have any other relatives with such fantastic names. Â And I know exactly what you mean about the smell of a newborn baby - it is divine and almost impossible to describe. Not having reached grandparent age quite yet (I had my kids late, at 40 and 43 respectively, so while I am in my late 50s I still have teenagers at home) I didn't know one experienced the same kind of surge of love as you do when the baby is your own. I remember picking up my firstborn boy and holding him in my arms and saying to myself, "this is it, this is forever, I will never stop loving you, I am yours". Â And I was so right!
Thanks for your post, it made me smile and remember.
