Awesome.  What joy to have 2 boys under five.

I guess for me, it was being away at colleges and then law school.  I did not marry till both my parents had gone home to glory.  I promised my father.  Well, a couple months before me mother went home I married..  And, women just dump u if u don't marry.  (my grammar school and high school friends.  college?  i did not live on campus, so I stayed to myself.  But, one, my closest friend, said:  Until you marry, you cannot hang with us.  They hate single women around it seems. She also put her healthy 10 yr old shepherd to death cuz she got new furniture.  witch.  she kept him outside anyway so how could he harm furniture?  she tried to reconcile when she saw me mothers obit and saw i had finally married and had a child.  ah, no.  too late.)

So, my sister and family r very close.  Some real life friends.  But, mostly housebound, my friends r online.  So far.

Well, I'm sure there are other IOP members or x members here that may know my story, but I'll touch on it for those who don't know me.
I lost my mom a couple of weeks ago who was my last surviving family member. I lost my younger brother a few yrs. ago that was a total shock. I also lost my very best and dearest friend of 45 yrs. to cancer around that same time. I'm feeling pretty alone in this world right now. I seem to lose all of those that I love dearly. Maybe I'm jinxed or something.
My family now consist of my 2 Cocker Spaniels, one being 15 yrs. old and in poor health. She may be my next loss and I don't know if I can take anymore losses. Also have my mom's 2 pups that I've had to take in when she had to go into a nursing home.

I was my mom's care giver for yrs. until she had a stroke and lost the use of her legs. I was no longer able to give her the care she needed with the health problems of my own. My mom and I were very close. We were all each other had and it's gonna be tuff without her in my life. The full reality of it hasn't really hit me yet, but I know it will come and I'll be a basket case for awhile.

But, life goes on. I know that if it wasn't for the many friends I have on a few forums, I would feel like a totally lost little puppy.
I hope to connect with old friends from other forums and make some new ones as well.

I hope everyone is doin' well and stays safe.
