I'm crying like a baby!

Ahh, I know the feeling.
One of my first jobs as a kid was food prep for a Chinese restaurant, and they really go through the onions!
Every other day I would grab a table, a meat cleaver, and a 50lb bag of onions, head out to the parking lot and chop them all up. even with a breeze that job was pure torture!

I still love onions though! steak,onion, tomato, jalapeno, cilantro, and fresh home made tortillas, is my comfort food!

I would die chopping 50 pounds of onion.  One onion had me literally with tears down my face and my eyes burnt so bad.  I have my mom over for dinner and she loves the sautéed onions and mushrooms with the steak.  And then I slice up potatoes and fry them in butter.  We do this at least weekly.  My comfort foods are anything I throw in the deep fryer.  Corn dogs, pizza rolls and I bread my own mushrooms, cauliflower, jalapeño's, and onion rings.  My arteries are going to be clogged I'm eating deep fried foods daily.

Well its just amazing what a teenager will do for beer money, lol. Sounds like a great dinner and a lucky Mom!
I agree that everything is better deep fried! I think there is quite a lot of grease in the food, but maybe not as much as Mom's skillet southern fried chicken. Those left over drumsticks that got tossed in the fridge over night would look almost like wax candles the next day, lol.

The small fair they have here every year they had friend kook aide.  They would mix it was batter and it would come out like donut-holes.  They were freaking good.  Friend snickers were also very good.
