Every device i own runs linux, my first and last apple was a macintosh, lol.
Curious how it behaves just running a word processing app w/spell check. and also wondering if there is some kind of net
framework update you are missing.
I see the latest is 4.5 and above, but I am running 3.5 with wine and have not had any problems yet
Im not familiar with IOS, is there a way to run a file check to be sure there isn’t a corrupt file, or file the browser cannot access?
PCmechDOTcom has always been a pretty good place to find an extreme geek willing to help, "Morris Windgate" may or may not know apple, but could steer you in the right direction if he is still there.
Been getting help from them guys since the early 90's.
Jail breaking must be similar to rooting an android. I was going to get a new Android phone so figured I would go ahead and root the old one for fun, ha, kept the old one, and I love it so!
The asus zenpads allow root access via apps. that is one strong running tablet if you ever see a decent price.
My well meaning oldest Son bought some cheap crappy little Amazon kindle tablet for his little sister, (my youngest). It was a joke, and thank the good lord, it got hot as heck when we charged the battery so I had a good excuse to return it.
Got online and ordered her an Asus Zenpad 8.0" and that little bugger is ridiculous fast no matter how many malware infested kiddy games she downloads. She sits there playing flawlessly with another 10-15 windows open with games and other apps running, lol.
All I have had to do to keep things going is occasionally click a button that automatically cleans up trash files and evaluates and chooses which processes need to run on startup, based on how often the apps are used. Its incredible, and the reviews were like 4.8 stars and over 1000 reviews at that time.
I see Ipad2 next gen for sale for like 150.00 - 160.00. That Zenpad was 312.00 but they had them as low as 249.00 last I saw.
Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a wicked little 250-300.00 tablet that runs like the big dogs.
Sorry for the ramble buddy, best to you...
Asus does make good tablets, But what teases me is that Android is highly vulnerable to viruses compared to iOS or OSX. I have used Kindle and ZenPad as well. But, Still you can use only these for high profile gaming or other things. If you are looking into serious security then better get something using Blackberry OS or Apple OS.
The only way to know how strong you are is to keep testing your limits.
