Back then they would have a guy in a white coat with a stethescope around his neck trying to tell you menthol cigs were more healthy. People thought they were medicinal and good for you. The ad where at the end some voice always said "and they are mild"
It may have been mentioned but the twins they used for some breath mint. Pairs of twins dressed alike each holding a pack of the mints chanting "two, two, two mints in one"
The old m and m's ads where a "lady" candy and a "man" peanut jumped into a pool of candy shell. I have news for them, they do melt in your hand. Not that I eat them anymore but it was a lie.
"Truth in advertising", kind of an oxymoron Gran. As some comic said, "There is no monkey in Chunky Monkey".
