Unfortunately for me (30's) age it is tough tryn to get a script for it. Modalert is what I use at the moment. Sy adds are WAY expensive.
I'm in 50's age group I don't have a problem getting a script, it's the insurance company that's a pain in the arse. I take it for hypersomnia which is a little like narcolepsy.  (you wouldn't believe how many sleep studies I went through before being diagnosed).  Have you tried talking to your dr about EDS? (excessive daytime sleepines) Your Dr may not require you to go through the sleep studies for the diagnoses to get a script. Just a thought.
Nope not yet...now do I talk to her & say heres what I have and adderall will work?Lol
