First, I am so sorry that you're dealing with RA pain, Rabbit. While I do not have RA, I have an inflammatory disease that is often talked about in the same conversations as RA (Crohn's disease). A lot of the folks I've met on support boards for Crohn's have RA as well, or develop it as they get older. So, from one inflammatory disease haver to another -- F that inflammation!
I also wonder what other therapies you are on--like LilRaquel mentioned, Humira is like, some sort of miracle drug for both RA and Crohn's (and I think I've also heard it working for psoriasis as well, but I could be mistaken there). I have a friend on Humira for Crohn's, and while there are some downsides (the injection isn't pleasant, it can be a bit expensive--although, I think that really depends on insurance, and there are a slew of other side effects that go along with any drug that is high octane), she is in remission 100% right now and wouldn't trade it for the world. Granted, everyone responds differently to medications and therapies, so what works for one may not work for others.
This is all to say that I truly feel for you and hope that you are able to find some relief soon. (I also agree with LilRaquel about swimming! If you CAN move around a bit, swimming would be amazing--even if you just want to float around a little!)
