"Can I blame it on Lovecraft and Edgar A Poe? Stephen King Benton Little, Dean Koonz etc?
Big Grin".
Do you read these authors regularly?
I was a big Stephen King fan for his first 14-16 books.....his stories are good, his characters are wonderfully developed (who can forget "Trashcan Man" or PennyWise or???????........)
I stopped reading him when I noticed my night sleep (dreams) was affected darkly....I quit reading him for peace of mind.....it worked.
Mind you, I think those you mentioned are very good authors......but garbage in (bad thoughts, scary thoughts), garbage out.....it's part of the nature of the human mind.
Glad your feeling better
Hi Popster,
No. Don't read them now but in love with them since a young teen
I collected King since '70s. I was blaming the darkness of my writing on them
(but it's won me contests who I'm not complaining about that!)
Current reading? Just finished Zane Grey - The Ohio River Trilogy books
Interesting cuz much based upon journals and small amount of factual info.
East Coast documented. Other areas of U.S. exploration common. Lack historical data for "first frontier" - West of Alleganys.
Grandson and I are reading Dante's Inferno together too, and read The Prince by Machiavelli past month for our read and discuss (more debate than discuss since he's teen LOL)
I believe the two vivid death dreams about pet indicate two deaths approaching in my family soon. And that it's beginning the cycle of losing that generation in our family.
My aunts & uncles are in 80's and 90's now, beginning to become frail.
Tho one uncle still insists on chopping own wood at 84.

My dad's family live old ages. Great-grandfather lived to 105 and healthy until put in nrsg home 104 by sons, even then not ill, just frail and more assisted care person who could've stayed in home (no home health then)
My dad told me he said 'I don't want to live here anymore." Old age given as reason for death. I call it "broken heart".
I don't want to name who I believe it will be, because one of two is someone I love so very much, special - to me and this world.
Then, I also know at their ages once the trees begin to fall... well, it seems there will be a domino effect on many others, spouses etc.
When that generation goes, so goes our family. My generation mostly left and are scattered. Most of us are grandparents and own families now to tend.
So won't the death just continue to pour and pour out at some point? Like the mites poured from my cats ears in 2nd dream? I think our family has been blessed to have large famliies and lost few to death. Our bill is coming due to pay. Won't be cheap but many many years for some great people (and a few not so great TBH)
(I used to study dream analysis a lot when younger... this is what I really believe - what a horrible way to learn)
