The Cast Of “Law and Order” Then And Now
#2
Vincent D’Onofrio As Detective Robert Goren

Detective Robert Goren works alongside Detective Alexandra Eames. He is unpredictable, but stays with the squad for ten years. Vincent has stayed busy since leaving the show, appearing in films like Staten Island and Jurassic World. Personally, we can’t unsee him as the professional New York detective.

S. Epatha Merkerson As Lt. Anita Van Burent/b]

For 21 years, the Lieutenant is known for toughness, but is too quick to react at times. Later, she is diagnosed with cervical cancer. S. Epatha Merkerson has been on 391 episodes of Law and Order, rocking the part of criminal investigator. You will see her again on the upcoming Chicago Med.

[b]Anthony Anderson As Detective Kevin Bernard

Funny man Anthony Anderson played a detective on the show for the last three seasons (18-20). He now stars in the comedy Black-ish with Tracy Ellis Ross. We definitely wouldn’t need professional marriage counseling with this funny man.

Using Paul Sorvino is known for playing mobsters and gangsters who break the rules, but this time he was on the other side the law. Well, for at least two seasons. Since the show, he continues to have small roles in films and TV shows.

Sam Waterston As Jack McCoy

For over 16 years, Waterston played the ruthless NYC District Attorney. Lately, you can spot him on TV series like The Newsroom and Grace and Frankie, but to us, he’ll always be the one to go to for professional attorney services in New York.

Dennis Farina As Detective Joe Fontana

Before his death in 2013, Dennis Farina played on seasons 15 and 16 of Law and Order. He was a real-life police officer and often type-cast as a cop. You can see him again in the movies What Happens In Vegas, Get Short, and more.

Jesse L. Martin As Detective Ed Green

Detective Ed Green did not mind breaking the law in order to get the bad guys, but is usually teased for liking punk rock music and gambling. Nonetheless, we would have loved to hire him as a private detective. More recently, the actor has appeared in The Flash.
