While we talk of stuff like benzos being really difficult to get prescribed,a well known national radio station is running a big thing about how benzos are being over-prescribed to lots of people (this week i think).

I must(and prob others) live in a parallel universe to all those thousands of people being over-prescribed meds,sounds like a lot of fear mongering by the media yet again.

I think there may be a real difference between what you might get if you went to your doctor now and asked to be given them for the first time, and what you might get if you have been on them for 20 years.  Perhaps that's what the radio station is talking about, people who have been prescribed them for ages and can't get off them? 
Otherwise, yes, it is parallel universe time.
