Don't mean to start a fight with Oprah fans, but I'm sure I will.  Just understand I won't respond. 

I am here only to rant about her acting as front woman for Weight Watchers.   The country's cultic  celebration of celebrity is such  that they can say black is white, and white is black, and people will respond.  Oprah is currently shilling for Weight Watcher's on TV.  Watch the commercial.  She is fat, and is selling a weight loss program, from which she benefits at the bank.  Her mid section is hidden by garden baskets, bending postures, and frontal sales pitches which show her only from the breast bottom up.  She reminds us she is a genuine talent by singing the word "WORKS" at commercial end. 

Her celebrity is such that she can sell a weight loss product and still be fat. 

You are free to cite all the good she's done.  Don't care.  She's a 1%er, who apparently can't get enough in her bank account. 

Maybe I'm being hard on Oprah.  To me the commercial represents one of the big problems we have in our self absorbed society. 

Just gets too blatant for me sometimes.

I see today they have changed the commercial, or maybe this is just another version.  But the things I saw are not included in this one, ha.
