I must(and prob others) live in a parallel universe to all those thousands of people being over-prescribed meds, sounds like a lot of fear mongering by the media yet again.
I must live in said parallel universe too! The docs all say not a chance the pharmacists all say not seen a reduction in despensing benzos, to my mind they can't both be right can they? I'm nowadays a reluctant user of anything trying ditch methadone and doing well at it but benzos have there place, in my opinion there irresponsible prescribing many years ago by which I mean the early prescribed meds for heroin addiction was a whopping great bag of benzo's temazis, diazis also known as a walking charge sheet this is what has lead to this anti benzo hysteria but the truth of the matter is in moderation they are a wonderful medication that can help many people in many walks of life in many ways. I know this much for sure the right kind of access to these meds and I would've been able to put methadone to bed probably a decade ago
