An old friend died last year of Cirrhosis of the liver. Well actually a best friend. We did everything together for several years.
His wife played this song at his wake ....it made me remember a lot of the times we had and yes it also made me emotional.
It, the disease, had come on him suddenly.
From one week-end he thought he had food poisoning to 3 weeks later he was dead from a healthy person.
So I was really glad that I had several months beforeI had called him & touched base with him, catching up something I had been meaning to for the longest.....
But he never had the time when he came into town to visit his mother and call me like we had planned .
But his wife told me at the wake he had talked to me and had hoped to ...Makes me sad telling you guys about it.
Anyway, this is the song she played at his wake and it will always now have that attached to it in my mind along with other special times in my life.
