I intend to return June or July. This time I will make it a point to discover exactly why it is so cheap. Everyone I asked said the same thing, supply and demand. It isn't that government is subsidizing it , it's just that most of the people there are so poor that that seems to often dictate the price of goods and services, not just medical care and drugs. If they raised the prices people would simply stop buying and there would be no more demand.
P.S. Although I did notice that Macro actually has several things for cheaper than in Colombia.
