Got a call from my bank today...someone had found my wallet (which at this point I didn't even know I had lost) and turned it in to the closest police station.  I had been visiting a large metropolitan area for the day and am still stunned that this was the outcome. When I picked up the wallet, the clerk asked me if I wanted the name of the person who turned it in, and she also gave me their cell number.  I texted that person and asked for their mailing address, and they responded cheerfully.  All the cash and credit cards were intact.

I will send him a reward.  Yay me!  -dc
