The biggest consequences right now, is that the medical profession of big pharma stopped lying that benzos were not addictive. And, now there are laws in many a state making it fairly impossible to get a benzo. A psychiatrist may give them but they are paid to push anti depressants.
If people take them in larger doses than prescribed, or have been on them for many a year, for legit reasons, and their doctor suddenly cuts them, valium withdrawal can result in seizures and death. Xanax withdrawal, which was promoted as non addictive, is very very difficult to get off. It can last for months for some. I have seen hardened addicts whom overcame the big H, and they post: Once one starts xanax, they never go off it.
Further, the gvt is going after vendors like crazy. Many of us here simply went without for many a month. And, that is taking a chance with one's life.
