Please have good news cause u really know ur areas of expertise.
Ah not for another 6-10 weeks and I might take another bar just to cover my bases. I went back to work but I quit my job today because my 2/3 supervisors at my firm wouldn't back me after a client IRL doxxed me - like he did a background check on me - and decided that he didn't like my family's (not inine) political leanings, and totally made up some ridiculous, hyperbolic and slanderous stuff and got in touch with one of my supervisors, and these were like, absolutely crazy accusations, but if a client essentially was actively abusing me and my firm for which I did 800 free hours of legal work this year, 707 before graduation, wasn't going to give me the benefit of the doubt then I also don't have to work for free. I mean throughout law school to today I did nearly 3000 hours of internship/externship hours and got paid just under $5000 because of ABA rules not allowing me to get paid for credit hours nor work more than 20 hours a week for money during the school year, so I essentially did, if you go by how much I did bill, conservatively say I did 2900 hours at 30 an hour flat, I still got basically $5000 for $89000 hours of work.
I figured I didn't need to take client abuse for free - I already got that when I got schooll credit for it and got more of that for $30 an hour so I instead got in touch with someone in a relevant but also different field that a friend referred me to and hopefully I'll be able to do free legal work on my own terms from now on, and the $200k debt and being on food stamps and Medicaid is a little ridiculous too, but you know, I got some local TV exposure, I got some court time, solo court time, trial time, fed practice time, admin law time, we'll see if it pays off, but for now I'm gonna network but not work for free period, I can live off food stamps and wash dishes on weekends if I need to, but yeah, feels liberated, even if I think pass or not I'm gonna end up taking 1 maybe 2 (adjoining) bars in Feb it looks like, ouch.
So in short, no, not for a while, but at least I'm not working for free anymore which is a step up, and I'll trawl the local courts until bar results come out.
